PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO
Pitti Immagine organizes several international fashion exhibitions annually, with its main events including Pitti Uomo (Men's Fashion Show), Pitti Bimbo (Children's Fashion Show), Pitti Filati (Yarn Fair), Taste (Food and Wine Fair), Fragranze (Fragrances and Niche Perfumes Fair), and Super (Women's Ready-to-Wear and Accessories Fair). Each year, more than 2000 exhibitors participate in Pitti Immagine's exhibitions, attracting over 120,000 visitors, about 40% of whom come from countries outside Italy.
Since its first edition in 1972, Pitti Uomo has been held without fail every January and June in Florence. For four consecutive days, it showcases the latest trends and developments in the Italian and global men's clothing and accessories industries.
"Pitti" refers to the Pitti Palace in Florence. In the 15th century, it was the main residence of the Grand Duke of Tuscany. Today, the Pitti Palace, the largest art museum in Florence, is open to the public. "Uomo" means men in Italian. Pitti Uomo is international in scope, with approximately half of the exhibitors coming from countries outside Italy. At the recently concluded 94th Pitti Uomo this June, a total of 1240 brands participated, 561 of which were from overseas, and nearly 250 brands were first-time participants. Of the 30,000 attendees, 19,400 were industry buyers.
